Meet Melbourne Dentist, Nishita Patel, DDS

Dr. Nishita Patel earned a reputation as "the gentle dentist with small hands" over the past 9 years of practicing as a general dentist. She recently moved to Melbourne and gave birth to an amazing girl, establishing her family roots in this wonderful community.

Dr. Patel is originally from Gujarat, India where she received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.) After two years of clinical practice in India, she earned her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) with honors from SUNY University in Buffalo, New York. After nine years of diagnosing and treating patients, her passion for dentistry and helping others has grown. Dr. Patel’s approach is exceptionally relevant to today's patients. (1) She spends time getting to know her patients and understanding their health histories and oral health concerns. (2) She spends time explaining why conditions of the mouth have developed and how comfort, health, function, and beauty can be restored. (3) When her patient fully understands the WHY of treatment, she collaborates with the patient to develop a personal treatment plan that takes into consideration the patient's preferences. (4) She strives to make oral health care of lasting quality and will do everything she can to help you meet your smile objectives.

She is currently the president of the Central Florida component of the Academy of General Dentistry and a member of the American Dental Association and Florida Dental Association. She is also a postdoctoral student of the Dawson Academy. She is diligent in her pursuit to stay current in providing the profession's leading dental care procedures while delivering the highest level of dental care in a gentle, comfortable and compassionate manner. Among her developed areas of expertise are crown and bridge work, dentures, extractions and cosmetic dentistry, including Invisalign®.
